Dos program full screen




















DataGuys is an IT service provider. Set the settings to compatibility and configure the VGA settings for x and you should get what you seek. DOSBox is probably your best bet. But if that does not work you can change the properties of the terminal so that it takes up very close to the entire screen just the menu bar is visible.

Unfortunately, 16 bit DOS applications are getting harder and harder to support. The solutions others have offered are good, but even those will stop working at some point. You could try setting up a virtual machine with DOS and run your program that way. Eventually, though, your users will have no choice but to move to something else, and it will only get harder to do the longer they wait. Tell them you've found a new upgrade path to replace the DOS program, and then hand them some papyrus and a scribe for writing.

To continue this discussion, please ask a new question. Sign in to vote. I have a client where I replaced two computers with new Windows 7 Pro computers and I installed Windows 7 Pro on two other computers. The client has several DOS programs that they use.

I had advised them that they need to replace the DOS programs with newer ones, but they opted to stay with the trusty old programs. I got them running on Windows 7 just fine and they can print without problems.

The issue is that when they run the programs they appear in a window that is about 3" by 5". It is too small to be useful. When we hit Alt - Enter, we get the response, "This system does not support fullscreen mode.

I still get a very small window. It is the same problem. Has anyone discovered a way to make DOS programs full screen?

I still have several users who need to use DOS programs. In Windows 98 I can set up a shortcut and by adjusting the properties I can have the DOS program occupy the entire screen.

In WindowsXp, no matter what combination of screen settings I adjust, I can only get a DOS program to occupy the upper half of the screen. I can make it so the DOS program is the only thing displaying on the screen i. Any ideas?
