The controls are simple: up and down controls move the character, left and right to switch between views like the menus. There are no enemies or objectives in this game; you just move the camera and point it at the screen to view the objects you're after.

The in-game minimap shows where the items are that you've collected, as well as any hearts or coins are nearby. To defeat a boss, you just have to beat it, and you can also pick up items in the level to give yourself an advantage. I enjoyed this platform game quite a bit. My son was quite excited when he found out I had the opportunity to play it on the Nintendo DS.

I have to admit though, that I was not very good at making Max run faster or higher. Perhaps a few more levels are needed to improve this aspect. Overall, this was a good drm-free download, with nice graphics and sound. We don't have any change log information yet for version 1.
