Pro tools 9 compatible with apogee ensemble

On Intel Macs, running the installer twice may be needed to get the Apogee Kext to be allowed in the system. Recommend Intel Macs use previous release installer. Apple Silicon M1 Macs must use latest release. Firmware needs to match installed software before audio will pass Firmware update only works with Thunderbolt-only models. May get erroneous message that firmware needs updating, even though unit already on correct version.

Designed in California. A nice compliment with color pre's. The only thing I dont use is the cue mix routing system in the maestro software, because I have the using the firewire port when Protools is open. You have to attach the ensemle via firewire to the mac to program it and then unplug it to plug in the IF you have 2 firewire ports this might not be an issue. I bought it because it was the best conversion available for with the highest feature set.

I was also in the market for a monitor controller big knob but the ensemble output control is so nice and smooth I put the idea of buying one on hold until I can afford a nice high end one like the crane song.

It is basically like the ensemble is the interface and the is a big Ilok sitting in the rack that allows PT to open. Doc Mixwell. My Studio. You cannot directly interface any other converter hardware aside from what is packaged with the PT software when you buy it. The only other directly compatible interfaces are the M-Audio, M-Powered interfaces. Thanks in advance to anyone who may have thoughts on this.

My question has nothing to do with ProTools, sorry. If inappropriate I can delete this post. I booted the rig in 32 bit but have the same exact issue. Cool, let us know how reliable it is. Great to hear! Can anyone confirm that the Symphony mobile card is also working with Pro Tools 9?

PT9 and Duet are currently not playing nice. PT9 loads up perfectly but as soon I recall a session I get a spinning beach ball and it times out. Downloaded the latest drivers from Apogee's site. No clue how to fix this one. My Studio.

And we now have the answer to the question many of us Native guys have been wondering which is "PT9 runs on all interfaces? What's the catch? I read another post by someone on another thread who says they have PT9 and the Duet running rock solid. I'm not sure if I'm hopeful or more concerned by this.

I haven't had to troubleshoot PT in sooo long but I guess this is to be expected when you open the flood gates on interfaces. Running well on my Ensemble. I am seeing all 8 on stereo inputs. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks, Dor. Dude you sound like a complete and utter idot for make this statement: No. The "Apogee team is on top of their game " Avid has opened up PT..

Native windows drivers, Core -audio, vst, rtas.. Works and works well! Get your head out of Apogees ass and put the blame where it belongs.. The Apogee team is on top of their game as I'm sure that Avid is. Avid released PT9 it seems without thoroughly vetting all of the most obvious configurations. The weird thing is the Apogee Symphony system is core audio and should work fine.
